Miss Gertrude is Gerti’s band, formed in Ipswich and for the past 3 years performing in and around Ipswich for various events and functions. Back then Miss Gertrude was made up of Gertrude Benjamin on vocals and guitar, and Paul Ainsworth on lead guitar.

Today Miss Gertrude is known as the ‘Queens of SOULK’, oozing a delicious blend of soul & , becoming a 5 piece band through the addition of Elton Power on drums, John Woods on bass and enormously talented, Joe (BJ) Benjamin the newest addition to the band. Miss Gertrude perform exclusively to lovers of the soft acoustic sounds of jazz, blues, soul, country and folk.
